Progress Department

Our Cranmore Progress Department is a strong team of specialist trained teachers who are conversant in the latest thinking and best practice in learning support.

Strong emphasis is made on the early identification of children with dyslexic tendencies, dyspraxia and speech and language difficulties. We therefore regularly monitor each pupil, particularly in reading, writing and spelling, to identify those who have difficulty or whose progress has stalled.

Those who need support are assessed by our in-school specialist teacher, with verbal feedback provided to parents. Working in partnership with all teachers, we establish the most productive learning methods, which are then supported in small groups or 1:1.

We are committed to a partnership with parents, offering regular opportunities to discuss progress. Parents are encouraged to telephone, email or come in at any time to talk about any issues or concerns.
