After the success of The Murray Cup, rugby fixtures continued throughout last week. Cranmore U13 and U12 teams played Kings House School on Wednesday, on Thursday saw our five U10 teams go unbeaten against Kings College Junior School, and on Friday four of our U8 teams travelled to CLFS for tag rugby fixtures. Also on Friday afternoon, our girls U8/9 hockey teams played against CLFS, whilst on Saturday morning it was the turn of the U10s to play away against Downsend. The block fixture against Downsend continued on Tuesday with three U11 matches, with convincing victories for the B and C Cranmore teams and a much closer contest in the A match.

A special guest appearance from International referee JP Doyle officiated our U13 rugby match on Wednesday. It was a fantastic experience for the children and as you would expect, the refereeing of the match was to very high standard.

Cranmore hosted a fantastic swimming gala on Monday evening against Kings College Junior School. 48 boys and girls from the Cranmore swim squad competed in the event, with the team including eight swimmers from each year group – Form One to Form Six. The well supported gala created a fantastic atmosphere which most certainly helped the swimmers achieve the many PBs that were recorded throughout the evening. The result of the gala was a comprehensive win for Cranmore, which adds to the very successful year for the Cranmore swim squad. Congratulations to all those swimmers involved.
