Sports News: 9 January

This time of year brings a change within the children’s PE lessons. In the Senior Department, a second rotated block of four weeks has started, involving gymnastics, wall climbing, health related fitness, hockey and racquets. Children have enjoyed the variety this week and seem very energised for the new term. Also, we have continued with our ‘Movement Prep’ at the beginning of lessons; many pupils know the four minute programme now and are seeing the benefits with their movement patterns.

It was fantastic to return to the school after the Christmas break to our fully floodlit astro and tennis courts. Also, the multi-use surface (MUGA) was fully utilised on Tuesday with Year 4 after school training. The flood lit area is another addition to our fantastic sports facilities at Cranmore.

The rugby season continues this week with several fixtures across the school, including very good U11 performances against Danes Hill on Tuesday.
