Girls Cricket

Girls/women’s cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and a heavily funded one at development/youth level.  At Cranmore, all Junior Sport is integrated/fully co-educational and it’s been a hugely successful transition. However, we acknowledge that as the girls numbers continue to grow at Cranmore, it’s important the girls work together as a single group from time to time and playing sport provides this opportunity.

In June, Cranmore will welcome Arlene Kelly, who will run a 1 cricket coaching session for all girls in MP, UP and Form 1.

Arlene is a member of the New Zealand White Ferns training squad, as well as a key player for Auckland Hearts for whom she has played for over six years. Arlene brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from both her playing and coaching experiences, having coached in local schools and clubs within Auckland.  Arlene will be playing for the Kent Women’s team and Hayes Cricket club during her time in England.
