Lessons – prices effective from July 2022

Lessons are available to all, from age 5 years old and upwards.
Term time lessons are primarily for pupil​s of Effingham Schools Trust​.

Arena Hire – Free to Effingham Schools Trust pupils. Everyone else – £25 for one hour (max 4 horses at any one time), Subject to availability.

 

Pony Days

In the holidays and in Half Terms, we offer a range of Pony Days Mornings and Afternoons to cater for all tastes, ages and abilities. Riders get the opportunity to take part in the full range of pony care activities, ride as a group for an hourtwice where possible, make friends by taking part in different games and fun activities and work towards Pony Club badges

Own a Pony Mornings run from 9.30am to 12.30pm daily. Own a Pony Afternoons run from 1pm to 4pm daily.

Pony Club

As a Pony Club Centre, riders are welcome to join us in order to earn Pony Club badges and certificates, but and we welcome riders that are members of other Pony Club Centres or Branches as well. Non-STE Pony Club members can earn badges and certificates with us, but can only take the Pony Club Tests (i.e. E, D, D+, C etc.) through their registered Centre or Branch.

After School Club

The After School Club is where younger students can learn about ponies and how to care for them through the Pony Stars. Track your progress by collecting stickers, and upon completion of the booklet, receive a certificate and rosette!

Ride Safe

Ride Safe training is a BHS run course so riders can learn about the hazards on the road and how to be safe when out on a hack. Riders who are 11 years and over can join in to then be able to ride on a supervised hack around Ranmore Common, once the exam is passed.

BHS Challenge Awards

These awards are open to members of the BHS and run in the form of booklets as Bronze, Silver and Gold. With the Silver Award being equivalent to BHS Stage 1 and allowing direct entry into Stage 2. The booklets are split into About the Rider and About the Horse, where the riding aspects can be covered in riding lessons while the care sections are booked separately.
A certificate is awarded upon the completion of each booklet.

NSEA

STE is a part of the National Schools Equestrian Association and is represented by pupils of Effingham Schools in Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing who have access to their own ponies. Training sessions usually run on a weekend, with the option of having a lesson of either a flat or jump, or both.
